The Flash Padlock contains a ash memory controller and ash memory IC similar to many USB flash drives. Unique to the Flash Padlock is an external six-button keyboard and an internal separate security processor. This specialized security processor enables or disables operation of the Flash Padlock drive. When the drive is “locked” or disabled, it will be completely invisible to the system that it is plugged into – much similar to a printer that is not powered on. When the combination is successfully entered, the drive is “unlocked” or activated, and operates as a normal USB fl ash drive. This operation continues until the drive is unplugged from the system, whereupon the Flash Padlock will automatically “lock” itself after 15 seconds of being disconnected.
